Foundation led by Cecilia Bolocco that supports patients diagnosed with cancer. Magnet developed a communication platform between doctors and patients.

Challenge

The main causes of death from cancer in our country are due to misinformation and lack of resources to request a second opinion. To mitigate this, CARE used e-mail as a communication channel between patients/guardians and physicians. Due to the high volume of requests, staff were unable to follow up on all cases.

The biggest technical challenge in the implementation of the platform centered on the patient flow, it had to be responsive for use in a mobile version and the form had to allow the filing and submission of documentation.

Process

Three key profiles were identified to manage the flow of information and communication:

Patient: this profile includes the login, creation of patients with their data and a form for sending queries and tests.

Administrator: in charge of validating and managing the information sent by patients in order to assign a physician to each case.

Physician: receives all the patient’s information and generates a diagnosis about the case.

Outcome

A communicational application was built that allows clarity and follow-up of the history between patients and doctors. In addition, it allows the organization to process a greater number of requests, optimizing its time in the management of a transparent and scalable process.
