We developed an application that allows to renew and streamline the sales system at Ripley for mobile devices.

Challenge

Selling mobile devices was tough and depended on the presence of multiple partners. In this sense, the challenge consisted of the design, construction and implementation of a software that would make it possible to streamline the procedure, organize and protect sales.

Process

In order to achieve a robust application, with the ability to support the multiple operations necessary in the sale of a mobile device, we began by developing a Backoffice and a Backend in the Django framework, to handle all the logic of the connections.

In addition, the services of different mobile phone operators were integrated into the software, each with different technological priorities and technical levels. In this sense, it was vital to understand these differences in order to create software that will accommodate them harmoniously.

To ensure the protection of Ripley’ s customer and staff data , biometric identity verification was integrated into the application’s login and sales functions, enabling the integration of security features into the software without slowing down its operation.

In the course of the project, Magnet discovered the need to integrate a new system of commissions, since these were ordered and calculated in a similar way, wasting valuable time. A more flexible and orderly system is proposed to Ripley, obtaining their approval to implement the solution directly to Rphone.

Outcome

At the end of the project, the full-time mobile device sales were reduced to a third of their original time, and the need for multiple collaborators to complete them was eliminated. Lastly, the implementation of a new, more controllable and flexible in-app commission system proved invaluable to Ripley‘s salespeople.
